Thermocouple Sleeve Removing Machine
The use of thin (0.5mm, 1mm, 1.5mm) Mineral Insulated (MI) thermocouples is on the high growth, due to both technical and commercial reasons. Improved RESPONSE TIME, one of the crucial parameters, adds to the technical side with the reduction in the basic cost of material leads to commercial aspects. The effect of the same has added to the problems on the manufacturing side of these thermocouples. Removing the sheath for connection and for welding of hot junction leads to basic problem. The normal circle cutter used for thick thermocouples becomes useless, as it cuts the basic thermocouple wires as well, spoiling the same, adding to heavy rejection and ultimately increasing the effective manufacturing cost and in tern profits.
Bright Stars Electronics, Pune, India has a most reliable, cost effective solution to this task with their state of the art Innovative Technology. The energy of the machine can be varied as per the requirements for repeatable and sustainable operation. This voltage which is digitally indicated may be calibrated for various sizes and sheath material for repeatable operation performed by any unskilled operator.
The maximum numbers of cycles performed are about six per minute, which is quite adequate considering the set up time during manufacturing. The machine operates on 230 Volts AC mains, 5 Amps connection. The machine comes in basic two models:
1. DSM 510 – Desleeving Machine with Manual Head.
2. DSP 510 – Desleeving Machine with Pneumatic Head.
The DSM 510 model comes with Manual head, which is quite sufficient for normal operation. The operating pressure is adjustable with the help of spring tension. The job operates under the same pressure with the help of proper arrangement for consistent results. The Model DSP 510 comes with Pneumatic head, requiring 4 BAR air pressure for operation, however the operating pressure is adjustable form 0.5 to available pressure. Voltage and Pressure should be considered for the type of thermocouple for proper results. A chart helps during manufacturing.
